I got to ride Gideon! Friesian dressage stallion by Pilgrim

Gideon is a Friesian stallion owned by Rosie Mally who is a GP dressage rider and trainer local to me and I just LOVE lessoning with her (she’s giving a clinic here BP week for anyone interested). She’s amazing and we stopped by today to watch her ride and she offered for me to get on Gideon!! I almost fell over I was SO excited, and when riding I know I’m making all these silly faces b/c I totally forgot to breathe and I was in my sneakers that not only don’t have a heel, they don’t have a back to them either - they’re basically like slippers lol so between no knee brace (it would totally trash her saddle) and well basically no shoes I look like crap but I had a grin on like a kid in a candy store. He is SOOOO light on the bit, it was amazing and his canter was wonderful!!! So after that I got home and rode Duke and was inspired to continue working on what Rosie helped me with and I also had one of my best flat rides on Duke ever. I’m just beaming what an awesome day - as if having my friend Mel here from Nevada and playing with baby Max every day wasn’t enough, this just was icing on the cake!

The first pics are Rosie on him then the rest are me !!!!
