I'd love to try something like this with Duffy eventually... can you imagine the freedom and feel!
Now to figure out how to mount her with no stirrup....

wow... I would love to be able to ride like that. *sigh* it's nice to see a horse that is so willing and a rider that is so quiet.

Regardless of facial contraption on the horse - I would like to see a more giving hand.. The rider needs to shorten the reins and carry the hands and release after an aid.

The horse looks to be of baroque origin? Would explain how the rider is able to ride bareback and still sit the trot...

Overall, as Spyder mentioned not totally international quality.. the half pass in canter is not fluid enough, the changes are not through enough and IMO the trot is lacking quality and impulsion and the rider is heavy in the hands.

Nice though - would be good for demos. I find it a bit gimmicky haha. But in NA would clean up clock in small tour in "traditional" tack.

That was my first thought too when I watched the video.

I think the video would somewhat prove the point spirithorse tried to make while back (about the choice of showing in bitless)?

Awesome rider and horse BTW!

I watched the video before I read comments here and on youtube. I have to admit, I didn't notice she was bitless until the end lol. I was too busy looking at the way the horse moves.

It was very impressive, and to think she was bitless and saddleless for the whole time makes my jaw drop and my stomach curl in envy. I wish I could ride like that.

However, I don't think this is a great example of a horse riding dressage in a bitless bridle. The idea of dressage is not to just perform the movements - it's to perform them to the horse's best ability. I just don't feel that this horse is showing its best in this video.

Mods, grant me the serenity to see the opinions I cannot change, courage to change the ones that should change, and the wisdom to spot the trolls.

I'm really interested as to why you say this! Could you develop further? I don't know how I would compare that, as I couldn't see a video in bridle and saddle from the same user..

well then........ I couldn't do a clean change tonight with a double bridle, saddle, spurs and a whip..... there is nothing that will make you feel worse about your riding than a video like that!! Haha beautiful though, I enjoyed watching it!

If there are no horses in heaven... im not going.

Wow, I'm really impressed! Both videos are great! I wish I could ride with such a airiness and nearly unvisible "orders" (what is the right english word for the weight, legs and reins which the rider uses to communicate with his horse?)
