You say that now, but wait until the FEI meets with the NASCAR reps!

Oh but Anebel, it DOES match her jacket - See the little bit of gold trim on her tails? Isn't that all that's required? :P

My trainer has told us ("us" meaning our riding team) that if we are in a lesson we CANNOT wear bling helmets, no paint on our horses hooves (meaning, glitter or colored paint), or ride in loud colored riding gear... like polo wraps that are hot pink, or bright colored saddle pads. She's very strict about this.
We had a young girl try and come out to the arena with a saddle pad with cupcakes all over it... and she told her to get off and go back to the barn!
So while I may like funky riding gear... I don't see it in my future.

My coach is like that too Oxer, so I bought her rainbow coloured bandages and matching saddle cloth for her black FEI horse *evil face here*
Wallaby, Oxer, crimsonsky and 1 others like this.

What is surprising is that she is a german. Aren't those supposed to be the crazy/strict dressage people?! ;)

Oh its ugly, but I do like it for two reasons
- safety awareness in the arena
- the possibility of bringing some new colors and styles to dressage. Although I think gold should be outlawed in any discipline...

I wondered to myself why she didn't get a nice plain black safety helmet to blend in with the black hats....and black jackets.....

She must have decided that if her wearing a helmet made her the 'elephant in the room,' then she might as well be noticed in a big shiny way!

Because the people who made that god-awful helmet paid her $$$$$ to wear it!

Hey, I ain't proud.... pay me enough $$$ and I'll wear one that's even uglier!
