I think she looks like a Martian personally...

Cross Country- The act of hurling yourself and your equine partner at a stationary object with poise and grace while attempting to survive...

I think promoting helmets is definitely a good thing. The gold is a bit blegh however.

I never wear a body protector so I know im slightly hypocritical bit even when I'm teaching how to mount or rising trot I'll borrow my students helmet no matter how sweaty.

That said I'd love a point two vest and If my body protector didn't interfere with me so much I'd wear it more. When I start Ella I will wear my body protector.

I've never come of jumping *touch wood* all my falls have been on the flat mostly when I was walking completely relaxed and the horse spooked

Call me crazy, but I actually kind of like it..

Not for a regular basis, but for every now and then at a big event to make a statement, why not? If I had as big of a name as her, and was being paid quite a bit to wear it, I'd go out there in it.

Hopefully she'll return to the classic colors for other times though...

I do agree that helmets should be more popular in the show ring, but I don't think we should bring more colors into dressage. Black and white only. It's classic and smooth. That's my only fear with this helmet, is people wanting to bring color into dressage on a regular basis.

Traditional is always the best in my point of view (hence black). BUt it is interesting... (not that I'd ever go in public with one), but it's... different. And very Christmasy. :)

A ride a day keeps the worries away!

I think its hideous. That being said, I also think its very smart. Got us talking about helmets in dressage, did it not? Bravo to their marketing.

To Duffy's original question, as someone else pointed out, I think this is great so that those of us who do like to wear helmets won't feel as ostracized.

It is certainly... golden. And don't worry guys, clearly it is also a tin foil hat, Ms Werth can't hear our thoughts
