Need a Dressage Show Name!

OK, my Registered Paints name is "Robins Top Win Dakota"-a little to "Westerny" for the Dressage set! Can I get away with "Kota" or does anyone else have any suggestions? I am at a loss here! I would prefer to keep his name in the same ballpark as his actual name to avoid confusion. Thanks for your help!

Does that word have any meaning or does it just rhyme?

Does it REALLY matter that his name is a bit too 'westerny'?
I've got a few friends that do low level dressage on their QH's with very western/QH names...I say if a horse is registered under one name, leave it under that name

I am really, really tending to agree with this-I actually love his name! It fits him perfectly. But just about everyone I run into asks me if I am going to change his name.

Don't worry about what other people are saying. If you are wanting to compete in official dressage competition where you will need to register your horse with your country's equestrian federation, it may be quite a pain to do so under a different name to what he is registered under with his breed society - some federations may not even let you do it - over here they ask you to provide details of breed reg if any and make life difficult for you if you want to register under a different name.
