Off To Another Show We Go!

Excited! Third competiton on Chinga (one sporting, one event) and now dressage! We're planning on staying in dressage, show jumping, eventers and hunter trails. Super excited because we've been doing heaps of dressage schooling with our instructor and we're hoping to do well. Its in 11 days time so not long to prepare and then we're off to hunter trails the next weekend if all goes well. Really hoping he canters this time , we're doing tests 1.E and 1.C! Just thought I'd share, we have a training session with our instructor tomorow and then hopefully all goes well!

good luck! I hope it goes well for you, don't be too dissapointed though if it doesn't. For my first dressage comp (2 months ago) my horse was working amazingly at home but the difference of environment meant she just lost it, no forwardness and no roundness, she was too busy looking at everything going on around her lol! Still we ended up with a score of 50.4% so not toooo terrible.

Don't worry, our dressage test in our event was feral.. I lost all sence of skills. But we've been working in the arena at pony club alot with a new environment, horses, ect and he actually went really nicely.

Not sure if I can get pictures, since my parents aren't coming as dads going away to America the next day and my instructors being my caller so she can't take them. But I'll try my best.

Good luck! I hope you do well, even if you don't, it's the experience that counts.

Hehe this reminds me of Alexander Park. I was calling prelim tests whilst taking pictures on my SLR. Of course, it helps if you know all the prelim tests back to front and don't need the sheet.

I'm gonna harass you over FB with tips :)
