Ollie attended his first dressage clinic :)

Only got a couple short clips from a friend who watcher my lesson.
Im so sunburnt an tired for yesterday an all day of watching others ride with Charlie that I won't...can't make this a long novel.

I had a great time! Charlie the clinician loves Ollie, he will be back in September and I will be riding both clinic days then!! I had so much fun and so did Ollie.
I have a lot of homework to get done between now and September. I wasn't allowed to ride or turn with my inside rein. Mind over matter. So hard. I told him...beged him to just hack that arm off so that I wasn't tempted. I had over over exaggerate with no inside rein because I would start to turn with it but I I was out in front of me it was eaiser to control the mind over matter :)

Got to see so many great rides and get so much persepctive and learn so much!!!
Now time for a nap

after his bath, he wasn't so pleased to be taken away from breakfast for bath at 7am hehe

"I was so good mom! Charlie says he loves me and thinks I'm super cool!!"

I LOVE that canter so much.. it seems so carefree and peaceful as it should be :)

Thanks!!! I came back to watch the other lessons after hauling him back home with my friends horse and changed into shorts...sat in the sun and burnt the crap out if of my legs so kind of glad I didn't have to put breeches in today as I am very sore as lobster red!!! I was so happy with this lesson!

Cantering israel felt great, a lot more room in that arena then at home!!
But what was funny was I wasn't allowe to turn with my inside rein and had to really push from my leg and get the Raytheon down trough my hips! When it came to the outside part of the turn he was at first like sweet let go!! But charlie was in my ear saying its okay go with it, I did and he Anne back an stay with me!

That must have been really hard to do! I haven't tried testing to see how I'd ride without my inside rein.. hmm.. worth a shot.

Glad you felt better to go to it though :)
