Our first lesson!

So Diamond and I have been having difficulties when riding. I had some lessons a while back but had to quit taking, because the were too expensive. Price was lowered and I'm now taking group dressage lessons.I was about to give up hope on Diamond (she was a barrel horse when I got her and I've been trying to teach her dressage, but being not very experienced, this is difficult.) but after our dressage lesson yesterday (thurs. The 6th of january) I'm feeling very encouraged. I just had to share! I've always had trouble trying to get Diamond to lengthen stride, because she just thinks leg means FASTER! And I actually got her to lengthen stride last night!!!!!! Just wanted to share- I'm excited!!!!

Never give up! It's all the matter of finding a proper instructor (and sounds like you are just in right spot with yours! ). Congrats!
