Which hand do I salute with, or does it not matter?

I don't know if it matters. I always put my right hand down though.

I believe it's the hand you do not have your whip in if you're riding with one. I carry my whip with my left hand, so I salute with my right.

Agree with roro, whichever hand you're not carrying the whip in. If you don't use a whip then whichever is more comfortable for you and your horse.

Hahaha I once saw a girl salute with her whip hand. Tapped the horse on the backside and he leapt forward and caprioled out of the halt :P
ALWAYS salute with your non-whip hand!

Opps. Last event I saluted with my whip hand.... :P I also wanted to get out of that ring, I swear it's the one dressage ring Geoffery HATES
