I attended my first dressage show this past summer and LOVED it! I was a little unsure if I would like the dicipline, I had always been a hunter for four years, but I love the individual attention. If you're lucky, a judge will speak to you after your test about what went well and not so well. I love having that personal feedback. Also, don't take it too seriously. Treat it just like if you were schooling your horse at home, you have just relocated :) Getting all nervous and wound up wont help anything. Sure ribbons are nice, but for now just go for the experience. Good luck!
All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.
