As I've been working with my horse, and researching and learning about classical dressage and mechanics for horse and rider, I've found several web sites that have been helpful to me. I don't know if anyone else has come across this site yet or not, but I discovered this one this evening, and I thought I'd share: The Art of Classical Riding--Dressage Training for Horse and Rider
There are lots of articles here that I found really illuminating, and really brought home the points that have confused me in the past. Now I'm really wishing that summer break would go on longer! I have so many things I want to tweak just in my position alone! It's dark here and has rained all day, but you all should see me perched in my saddle on the stand trying to get a feel for a more classical seat, lol.
As I read on this site, I start thinking "Hey! I think I kind of do that wrong! If I change it a little this way, maybe Scout and I don't have near the problem I thought we did!"
I've just read the "Classical Seat Series" of articles, but I can't wait to read the rest, and for the next ones to be posted! A real reminder and wake-up call for me!
