    Video from a schooling show

I took Rowan to a schooling show on the weekend as a warm up for my big show in a few weeks. It went really well despite pouring rain in my warm up - we got a 76.84% (:

I don't feel like posting in the critique section but (spyder especially) what do you think about the pace of the test? I think the canter needs to be more collected (ie. More strides/meter) but I'm not sure about the trot, I like how energetic it is. And for the frame, would it be better to have him deeper and more steady but risk btv?? At home I have him quite a bit rounder to get the neck steadier..

BEAUTIFUL! You are a million times better then me, but I noticed you have slight puppy paws. I don't find that to be a very big deal, but a lot of people hate it. I LOVE how steady your hands are. I wish I could come train under you, you are such a great rider.

Much improved from the video I saw a few months ago.

Need to show a stronger extension and as far as the frame I would like to see a little loosening of the reins now and then so he can carry himself. That will make the forward gaits (esp the canter) look a bit more balanced. The wholec head/neck will appear more softer and flexible. This will also allow more lift in the front and more animation. Take a look at S. Peters (and others)and how he pushes the reins forward so you can understand what I am saying.

Wish you had held the halt a little longer in the beginning as it looked a little rushed. Anky has a habit of shortening the halt time and in her case it is almost invisible...LOL

Overall the score is in keeping with what I saw.

Nice test! All I have to say is... MOVE UP A LEVEL. Lol Im hopefully going into third level next year (if my horse doesnt randomly go lame or something) and if you live anywhere in western canada... I will find you and kick your butt into a new lvl so I have third lvl all to myself for the regionals. LOL.
    Very nice test!

Spyder - I'll definitely give that a try, thanks!
