Don't buy a piece of tack just because its in fashion at the time. Its like larger girls who wear skin tight, nearly see through leggings because it's "in fashion" when a nice pair of pants would make them look much nicer.
Go with what suits you horse.

I just swapped from a huge noseband to a thin one and I honestly love it better on my horse. The thick one looked.. ridiculous on his big noggin :P

As Kayty said, don't do something because it's "IN" do it because it looks fab on YOUR horse.

My favorite is the Warendorf Everyday Bridle. Its right at $200. Already nicely broken in, padded in the right places.
