On Saturday I'll be off to ride my cousins horse, Vercase (an Oldenburg mare), to do some dressage schooling on her. We'll mostly be working on bending and transitions transitions transitions! That has to be one of the stiffest slowest warmbloods I have ever ridden. So we'll take it slow and get some suppleness.

With Kitty I'll be working on her transitions and getting her to push through her back. I absolutely love how hard she tries for me! She's a keeper.

The main things Leo and I are working on right now are haunches-in, half-pass and canter. Will post a video later tonight.
Me: sitting extended trot and keeping my hands still. And a bunch of core strength workouts.

I'm working on finding out why my horse keeps going lame.

Hopefully the x rays we took today will reveal something.

My horse is still quite new to me (will be 7 weeks this coming weekend!) and we're working on him moving forward without constant reminders from me. He's a little on the lazy side and with my last horse I developed the bad habit of nagging with my legs, so it's just as much training for me as it is for him!

Doesn't sound good mildot, hope its nothing serious.

I've got my first comp with Sphigi on Sunday, could be interesting. Teaching him a one rein stop at the moment, to save my butt if he thinks about bolting!

Billy, well I'm about to run him up to the vets as this morning he came out on 3 legs after going for a big spin in the paddock, lots of swelling and heat around the pastern. Good one Bills!

Hope Billy is alright, and your mare too Mildot!

Best of luck on the competition, Kayty! Any chance for pics?

Navicular syndrome evidenced by some some cystic lesions/roughening of the dorsal border and a lack of distinction between the cortical and medullary bone.

We start on a depro-medrol injection to the coffin bone and isoxsuprine oral therapy ASAP. DVM also recommend increasing the planar angle a few degrees at the next shoeing.

Hope we can maintain her sound on that regimen.

This sucks.

That REALLY sucks mildot, hope you are able to manage it.

Billy has damaged his digital flexor tendon sheath. There's too much blood in the area to accurately scan it at the moment to see the real damage, so for now I need to try and keep a hugely energetic is easily distracted 18 month old locked in a stable for 4 weeks... brilliant!

Skyes, my little groom loves to take photos, so Im sure there'll be plenty!

Won both of my tests today, 69.8% in the prelim, 69.2% in the novice. Spighi's first time out in 6 years, my first time out in 12 months, and horrendous surfaces to ride on. DEFINITELY no complaints from me!!!!
