Willie is finally back in full work/training since his injury about two and a half years ago. I've been riding him and getting him fit(ter) since this past summer, but since I've been lacking in the trainer/coach department most of what I did was hacking and trot sets because I didn't want to teach him anything incorrectly.
Now that I'm working for an upper level eventer and working off training/board for one horse + my room/board I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere again! Willie will be for sale soon, simply because he will no longer be able to compete at the levels I'm aiming for, but regardless of whether or not he's going to be sold I'm so incredibly proud of how quickly he's coming along. He's one of those horses that has a great work ethic and truly blossoms under a consistent work schedule (like most horses, actually). I have some photos and video of Mogie's 3rd ride on Willie and she's extremely pleased with how quickly he's picking up on everything she's asking from him!
Edit: I apologize for his fuzziness. He isn't getting clipped until he gets his last x-rays/ultrasounds done and I know for sure he'll be fit for competition.
