Christmas coming soon

We got a call today from a lady who is coordinating this years Christmas parade in a nearby town. We were there one year and I was less than impressed, so while talking to her I expressed my hesitation and what we encountered. I did offer, if they have a park or large grassy area, to do wagon rides with our team, I have access to several full under cut wagons that I have used on multiple occasions.

She is going to send me the information and we are going to talk more about it. It is several months away so were good to go. See how the mare are and I will get on exercising them more.

It is an honor that she remembers us from two years ago and says that we really impressed people by our dress, our professionalism and how beautifully turned out we had Smoke and our surrey.

Parade question: WHY do they invite horses, and then allow people to throw CANDY, so the little kids run into the street???

Nancy....some parades allow this, others don't. I personally don't care for the practice myself, nor do I like that. I have encourages those who do not like the practice to talk to the parade coordinators about it, be professional and voice your concerns and the safety reasons as well, behind your reasoning.

Taffy....we won't be in the parade this year, I just don't like them. While our team is pretty calm, they still get antsy waiting upward of 45 minutes to an hour before the parade starts moving, then it is stop and start. I am going to go talk to the director about wagon rides, see where they think it is a good area, the space, and go from there. A good friend of mine gave us her fathers antique brass sleigh bells we use and polish up, she said it really makes her smile when she hears them. so, no photo's as of yet.
