Ground Driving help

When ground driving, I'm trying to get my mare used to the tug. What would be the best the weigh the sleigh down with? I tried a cinderblock, but it isn't stable enough, it slides and tugs the sled out of whack? Ideas??

Can you post a picture? One time we used my friend's grand daughter, sitting on a big, upside down, plant bucket.
Otherwise, once they pull the weight of the drag, I put MY weight on the drag.

I don't break horses, I FIX them!

In the past we have used sleds of varying sizes with loads strapped on as the horse progresses, tires (tractor) filled with cement or even stumps. Depends on the horse and the situation as well as what I have on hand when starting them.
