Question logging with my canadian mare

Hi
I have an 8 year old Canadian mare which I wood like to harness and go in our bush. So I have looked a harnesses and I found a couple affordable deals but are they okay? So I have looked at a nylon chest collar from My Draft Horse Superstore and a bio plastic chest collar driving harness from Shipshewana Harness and Supplies. Is bio plastic okay or should it be leather?

I personally would only have a leatherat least mid range harness. Cheap stuff usually doesn't fit well, lacks adjustments and is not very usable.
