Pair Driver strikes again!!

We hooked up Gavotte and her Uncle Chance yesterday for the first time in about 2 years!! They were SO good! Not perfect, but workable. They WERE perfect getting hooked up, though, two statues in the field while we monkeyed about with the harness fit.

The carriage was rooted in place behind the garage, where it has been for 13 months, since we moved. I did not touch the brakes....until they get a once over from the carriage mechanic(DH), I was afraid they would lock up.

We did some arena work, and Gavotte was her perfect self, work, work, work, while Chance took a bit to get comfortable, then he was wonderful.

Gavotte on the left, Chance on the right

Here is a shot from the passenger....
Corporal and Taffy Clayton like this.

Very nice!! Looks like a ton of fun.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is today.

No, they are both 1/2 Arabs, on the right is Chance, really 3/4 Arab, 1/4 Paint, and on the left is Gavotte, who is 1/2 Arab, 1/2 Schwarzwalder Fuchs, a German small draft horse, so similar to a Haflinger!!

Chance is Gavotte's uncle.
