Your opinion of chuck wagon races?

The good the bad the ugly?

I don't plan to compete or anything, but those of you that participate or spectate, what makes the best events stand out?

Safety of course is what I like to see the most. The four deep races terrify me. A local one here has had a bunch of accidents so I won't be going to that one any time soon... :(

They are quite popular here as intermission entertainment during the draft horse shows. They scare the piss out of me. Spectators love them. Never witnessed a wreak but the guys are right on the edge all the time. I'm surprised in this day and age that organizer allow them.

I watched once and would never go back. 2 horses died that night from broken legs.
