The saddle I currently own is an aussie saddle. I really like it but I've been doing some research (on here and google) and found out it is bridging on my horse. This explains his being tender after a ride and his becoming a little cinchy, tripping a lot, and tossing his head a little. So I'm in the market for a new saddle (will see what I can do to get this one to fit better but I've been wanting a new one anyway). I was thinking of starting to condition for an LD ride and thought maybe and endurance type saddle would be good for me to get. I like that they are lightweight and comfy for trail riding since that is all I do right now. My horse is 16.2hh and I'm only 5'6" so a heavy western saddle is a bit of a struggle for me to get up that high. Could anyone suggest a mid-priced saddle that they like? I'm hoping I can spend under $1000. I wouldn't mind a used saddle if I can find the right fit.
