Hey everyone! I need your help. I'm helping a friend of mine to start catering to endurance riders through her tack shop. I need to know what special things you look for as an endurance rider, especially if there are things you have a hard time finding. Please include brands you like as well. I can think of three general categories where we sometimes have special needs: Rider gear, horse tack, and feed.
Rider gear: As a rider, I need/use clothes that I can ride in no matter what the weather brings on a ride, like a rain coat designed for wearing in the saddle, a visor that protects my neck and eyes more than the typical helmet, efficient ways to carry water like a camel pack or durable water bottles, super-breathable shirts and leggings for long, hot rides, and reflective gear for riding at night. I'm an Irideon fan.
Horse Tack: I need small, lightweight saddle bags (I especially like StowAway's line, girths and breast collars that are weather resistant (NOT leather!), a halter-bridle combo, hoof boots, sponges, buckets with lids (for out vet checks), flexible water buckets that are easier to carry, GPS, heart rate monitors/stethoscopes, a lightweight saddle (I'm hoping to get a Specialized soon), and a super-breathable pad.
Nutrients: I need high-quality beet pulp, Triple Crown Senior, and then a vitamin/mineral powder. I'd like to work in electrolytes at rides as well.
What do you need?
