Make sure you look impeccable! Even though the judge is judging your riding, little things like shining your boots, dusting off your jacket, shining the little details on your bridle, etc. all make a difference! Without knowing what your riding looks like, I can't really offer any more advice. But have fun, whatever you do!

Relax! Try and ride like you do in the warm up ring... I find I tend to tense up and get kind of stiff in the ringm so I take a deep breath, and (embarrassing!) I sing to myself (in my head) to the beat of my horses feet. It relaxes me, which relaxes my horse, and help me keep a steady rythm!

Most of all, stick with what you and your horse know... Don't try and change your riding, it will just confuse both of you! And have fun!

Rider Class

Thanks Everyone (sorry for late thanks)

I Followed all your hints and tips and belive it or not I placed 1st!

My horse was shying at the trees and everything and we only managed to do one canter circle but the judge still placed me first!

So to everyone out there..

Thanks!

Liz
