34 regular breeches considered large?

Helllllooo

So I am making my birthday wishlist that my hubby wanted me to make.Anyways,I measured my calf and I need a size medium. I know I need a large cause my shirts shrink so it's always better to be safe than sorry. I measured myself for breeches and I'm a size 34. Is that considered large? I have a HUGE ribcage...it's really somethign I am self concious about...but I was curious what that was considered.

I have 34 long. I'm not large. Do you want to go by "small/medium/large" size? Or you want an actual size like 32, 34, 36?? If by "small/medium/large" I personally would go with "large". Also if you are tall you want to go with "L".

I would think it would be considered a large..i wear a 28 and I think that is like a medium.

Im not saying you large in anyway..obviously I have never seen you but I would think a 34 would be size large on the s/m/l scale.

Alright. Thanks. I would wear a 34. But I do have a wide rib cage...think of a barrel..no joke and I do take medication that adds extra weight. I take it for my seizures and depression..stupid pills with so many side effects >.<

I didn't think I was considered a large but whoooo knows.

Just because you wear a large does not mean you are large..in some stuff I wear a medium, in others I wear a large. I try not too look at tag sizes and just go with what I am comfortable in.

Okay...well I'm extremely self concious....as you can probably tell! I can sometimes wear small in tshirts..I guess it just depends. Anyways,I do need to diet but it's hard for me now that I have a new medication..can't seem to lose weight no matter how much I watch what I eat and workout. Oh well.

Thanks. I was curious guys.

Your ribcage doesn't affect what size your breeches will be. Breeches are sold by waist measurement and even then the brand can affect the sizing. I have smalls that fit, I have mediums that fit the same. I've got a mixture of 26 and 28 breeches and even one 26 that is so ridiculously large that I need to send it back.

If you have a local tack shop, go try some on. There are different fits as well and then you can see for yourself what fits and what feels good. Nothing worse than trying to ride in breeches that don't fit right!

Rib cage size wont affect what size of pants you wear no matter what. Unless you have a weird alien body where your ribs and your hips meet.....

Each company that makes breeches will have slightly different sizing, the same as jeans. For whatever reason, they can't come up with a universal one. Your best bet is to try on pants. I am in decent shape but not great shape and I wear a 32. They are snug. Only being 5'6.5" I can get away with the regular length but like the longs better. My jeans are the same size...32R, but prefer the 32L.

Side note...I wear a large size shirt. If I wore a medium, my boobs would take up most of the fabric and everyone would see my belly button. Not appealing. Haha.

Thanks :) I'm not an alien that I am aware of
32 is a medium I think.
I'm not in the best shape but I don't have any flab but I do need to tone my midsection up.

Anyways. I am what I am and if I want I can change my body apperance to the best of my ability.

LOL! Good to know!

You might want to try on a few different styles cause they seem to fit differently as well....
