    3rd lesson went great!

I had my 3rd lesson today, the first 2 were semi=private with a lady who boards her horses at the barn next door, the first 2 went pretty well, but I was having some issues with posting(i rode western for 13 years so posting is new to me) first lesson I was having trouble getting myself up so I kept doing a double bounce(horse would bounce twice and I would only once or something like that lol) second lesson I did less of that, but when it came to doing figure 8's and circles I was a mess, and I was also having a lot of trouble keeping Molly moving so it was very hard to keep my rhythm...this lesson, Laura(the lady I normally take the lessons with) didn't come because of having the farrier out, I was a little worried about having a private lesson because the attention would all be on me, but I feel like I accomplished so much today, I only did one double bounce, I was on the correct diagional almost the whole lesson, I did figure 8's and circles without loosing my rhythm and kept Molly moving, and even managed to change diagonals on the figure 8, I was still posting with my feet, but she said my legs were much quieter...I can't wait until spring when I can work with my horse between lessons

That is wonderful! It's amazing how posting can go from feeling really awkward to being very natural in a short period of time. I can post for hours with ease, but I remember when I started how I was all over the place.

That's fantastic! A good lesson always makes me feel fantastic. It's always a great feeling when you make progress in your riding. Glad to hear you're improving, keep up the great work!
