Activity equitation?? HELP!!!

What does activity equitation mean? I know equitation...but whats the activity?????

Never heard of activity equitation before, but if I had to guess I would assume it meant an equitation class that is somewhat like a simon says game. A class that the judge has the riders perform different things-whether those are tasks like normal eq class, go over poles, etc, idk.

PLease people!!!!! I need to know! I have a show this Sunday and im signed up for activity equitation!!
