Today I went out to the barn for my lesson. I rode Morrie, a 17.3hh Rhinelander gelding. He is incredibly slow and BOUNCY! I did alright on him, though, and it's great for me to work on picking up the contact and impulsion :). Next, I was planning on doing a ride on Thumper, but my instructor (she is AMAZING!!!!!) asked me if I wanted to ride Scout instead. Scout is a QH/Warmblood cross, and a new lesson horse who needed a bit of schooling LOL. So I worked on getting him to NOT lean on the rider's hands and his walk/canter transitions. Most people have only been able to get him to canter a couple strides each direction, but by the end, I was able to get him to do a nice canter circle two or three times around each direction. And THEN, my instructor- who is incredibly amazingg

- asked me if I would to ride/school Magic and Jorj. They are both boarded at the barn, but their owners weren't going to be able to get out there today (my instructor had their permission BTW). So I rode Magic, a Saddlebred/Arab cross. He's pretty well-trained, but a bit like Thumper in the sense that he likes to go FAST and has only one gear- FAST. So I did a lot of trot circles and diagonals and serpentines to get him paying attention to me. He has an AMAZING canter- it is sooo comfortable! It was my first time riding him, and so much fun :). Sadly I didn't have enough time to ride Jorj, but that's okay

. Three horses is pretty good for one day, if I do say so myself
