Ankle issues

Some where some how I've picked up a horrible habbit of having the weight of my foot on the outside of my stirrup, rather than slightly inside. Its causing me great pain in my ankle and on the left side of my foot by the end of my lessons. How on earth can I break out of this?

Strengthen your ankle! Lol, stop wearing the flip flops (if you do), write the abc's with your big toes, calf lifts, balance on a half medicine ball, etc

:)
