Unhappy Another Fatality at Rolex

Canadian Rider, Mike Winter aboard Kingpin suffered a severe fall at fence #10... Here is the article: The Chronicle of the Horse - News.

I was really hoping everyone was gonna make it through okay this year...

I've heard that Kingpin actually broke his neck during the fall as a result of a collapse, but since witness and near-witness reports are suggesting different things, I’m waiting for the official report on cause of death.

What an awesome horse. All the best for Emma and Mike and godspeed to that amazing horse.

The horse hemmoraged (sp?). I saw a video of the fall. You could clearly tell that something was wrong several hundred feet before the fence. I think the rider could have stopped the horse before the jump.
