Question Bits?

What is the difference between all the various types of bits? LIke what is the difference between a slow turn bit and a snaffle?

Bit Information (Snaffle and English-Type Bits)

That's a pretty heavy discussion (and sticky) on english bits. There is also a discussion on western bits: Bit Information (Curb and Western type bits and hackamores)
