Eventers can wear whatever we want on XC.

You'll want to find tan...ish breeches for the hunter ring.
Good luck at your show!

all sounds pretty anal to me. God forbid a venue would actually judge the horse and rider as opposed to what color their pants are.

Nice try...this is the hunter ring.
But as an eventer I guess it's in my nature to be smugly superior to anyone who won't/can't ride outside of an arena.

Not at lower levels, White or light color is what is specified, TG, I started off in whites because that is what I was told, I don't DO white, much happier in tan

Tan/Khaki breeches are always the uniform that we use for showing in english. Sorry :/ I don't know why it matters but it's probably been around forever hahaha:)

This colour is what you should be looking for

Get up, get going, seize the day. Enjoy the sunshine, the rain, cloudy days, snowstorms, and thunder. Getting on your horse is always worth the effort.

Depends what you're showing. Riding ponies/Welsh B type show ponies and I believe Arabs (although I've gotten away with my tweed in an Arab ring) are supposed to be shown in navy jacket and canary breeches, but most other native breeds/m&m/cob types and hunter or hack types should be shown in tweed with beige breeches. Not white for showing, only for dressage, although here you can get away with tweed and beige for low level dressage (certainly to novice, if not to elementary)

(That's British hunter and hack classes, showing flat under saddle with the judge riding and an in-hand portion, not the American Hunters where you actually jump.... that's more like our Working Hunter)
