Thank you for your concern- I realize it is not a true CP, and this my one and only time trying it (this is a video from mid last year). It was a simple task to ask for a trapped forward movement.
Also please note that pinned does not equal listening. My horse is very animated, his ears remain backwards facing when there are a lot of cues involved- plus I was talking to him. He is very animate when he is ticked off, and no doubt if he was hot and bothered I would have been on the ground. I know when he is aggravated, and this is an instance when he had his ears back and was listening.
I appreciate your concern, but in no way shape or form am I going to put my horse's health on the line. This was only a spot of fun in a dressage style lesson, and an attempt at seeing how collected we could get him to go. Obviously it is not perfect, but we all have to start somewhere, yes? And what better way then to see where you are at. I am not a dressage rider at all and I know how difficult these moves are, and I am only called it a CP because it was a very shy attempt at one.
I realize the flaws and would defiantly not attempt again without more schooling, but I do feel this is impressive for this particular horse because of his past.
(I would go back and edit the original post, but there is no edit option for me there ): }
