I have a belly that looks terrible. Breehes don't have enough compression. Can anyone recommend a very strong undergarment that will hold my belly, if not in, at least help it somewhat, and will not show panty lines? I'm someone who never lost the baby belly; it's very noticeable. I want to wear breeches but wow this looks bad!
First of all, RELAX, most woman who have had kids are self concious about their belly, but believe me, no one else notices.....they will notice how you ride, but not teh size of your belly believe me
I have a collection of shapewear but none is firm enough to make me feel confident and comfortable in breeches! I'm looking for a specific brand and model name! Thanks again! B.
My six year old when he was a baby was 10 pounds 5 ounces. After him and his siblings, I have five inches of loose skin that hangs over my c-section scar that's never going away. There is no way to get rid of it, no matter how much I work out. It's just there and I have to deal with it. Granny panties where we come! I'm not a big girly-girl so fassion, make-up and the like don't really interest me too much. I'm more into comfort. But I do like to put on something nice, that suits what figure I have at the moment, and go out on dates with my hubby now and then.
Try a pair of "Not Your Daughters Jeans." You might like them. Comfortable and made for women, most are a nice fit.
Yes to NYDJ! I have those and love them. I also lucked out at Old Navy. I have some Irideon "tights" which feel good. They are black though and are going to be hot. I just ordered some other breeches from Amazon and they are way too big, so I need exchange them. I know my tummy (like yours) is never going away so I'm just hoping the right underwear will snug it in. Sigh.
You might be surprised. I do all my competing in Irideon tights and love them. The material wicks sweat and stays cool despite being black. If you like the feel of them, you can also try Kerrits (I love the IceFills) or Tropical Rider brands.
This might be a place to slightly hijack this thread -- I'm looking for undies that provide a little padding of my 'sit bones' -- and wouldn't mind a little flattening myself. Any ideas?
I think I bought some from walmart or sears. The spanx are too hard for me to get on but what I bought was like old lady shorts and they come up to under my boobicles. I tried the tank tops but they kept rolling up over my mom belly so I like the shorts ones better.
Just a thought, but investing in a good corset or waist trainer helped me tones. I've never had kids or anything but recently gained 100 pounds very fast... And I lost a lot of my confidence. The waist trainer helped my posture in the saddle, it tucks in my tummy and flatters my hips. I literally can't slouch, and done up right it's pretty comfy. Don't go for cheapy eBay ones though. I paid a pretty penny for mine but it's so much better quality than the first one I bought off eBay. It doesn't pinch, it's not stiff, and it's easy to get on. It zips up the front!
Be careful about the cheap corsets. The bones in them are not made of steel most the time, the bones can break in a fall, or accident and can hurt you. Go right though the fabric in an undesirable way.
I cannot hep with a product recommendation, but I have a suggestion.
Take a look at your posture. Many people tend to "slouch." Sitting up straight will reduce the apparent belly size. Not sure if this will help you specifically. YMMV.
Thanks phantom! I live w/in driving distance to Dover, which is just huge and beautiful. But they are very short on plus sizes. Hmmmph!
