I don't like one thing better than the other- if I only rode dressage I would probably get a little bored, but the same goes for jumping. I like my mixture of dressage and jumping :).

I like barrel racing! I really get bored of Western pleasure. I love all english disciplines when I have an instructor...otherwise I end up just puttering around not doing anything productive.

I like them all.

To be successful in Eventing you have to have very strong fundamentals in Dressage, especially if you venture into USEA Recognized events where you are surrounded by very competative, very prepared competators.

Now on that note, I prefer to go on long hacks in open fields and trails just having fun with my horse and enjoying the surroundings together. Hitting any natural obsticle out there. I love Fox Hunting especially - no feeling like it when you are hand galloping across a field surrounded by other horse/rider teams and hounds and hearing those horns - puts a lump in your throat, makes you feel pumped and ready to rock n roll.

I love Eventing, I love riding those natural obtsicles, not only is it a blast but a rush. Nothing like answering a difficult question as a team.

But the best feeling out of them all - is accomplishing our goals together, as friends, as partners and as an unstoppable team. Whether it be in the dressage ring, stadium ring, CC course or Fox Hunting.

It doesn't matter what I do, so long as it is with my Best Friend, my Super Hero, my Boo. My Nelson.

I enjoy jumping and eventing, but flatwork is fine too. I like jumping because of the total thrill you feel when you go over the jumps. I've also found it builds a good trusting relationship between horse and rider. Eventing is very exciting, but I don't live for it or anything. As for flatwork.....sometimes fun, sometimes boring. I like dressage sometimes, but not all the time. I take a dressage lesson once every other week, and a jumping lesson twice a week. So I guess you could say I like jumping more. lol

I prefer Flatwork, only because I havent really dont alot of jumping before.. I'm keen on dressage in particular. But I must say, going over a jump when everything is just perfect is really a super feeling :)

I like Dressage best. :)
I'm just not a jumper. I don't like to do it, and neither does my horse. xD So it works out well.
I am interested in trying reining, though, just out of curiosity. It seems to have some similarities to Dressage, so it might be fun to try.
