Growing up I loved jumping. I never jumped very high (I rode school horses) but I did do some pretty complicated and challenging courses. I liked balancing around tight turns, adjusting stride length, finding distances, etc.

Now I'm older and just starting to ride again as an adult and I find that the jumps look way bigger than they used to I'm not afraid of jumping exactly, but I'm much less confident than I used to be and find I'm enjoying flat work more.

I've thought about finding an enventing barn because I would love to get more serious about dressage and I love show jumping, but the whole jumping over solid obstacles while outside is kind of scary to me now! Funny how your views change as you get older.
