Practical Horseman is a good one. I always enjoyed Hunter and Sport Horse Magazine, but I have not read it in years. Now they are in the process of reorganization.

I really like Horse Illustrated. I find practical horseman to be to "high on themselves". The advice they have there and the sections have a tendency to be for the higher class more trained horse and rider leaving those learning/green riders in the dust. I also found that over the years they have gotten way to much advertisement. You can't go thru a page without going passed at least half a dozen adds.

I find Horse Illustrated covers a much wider spectrum of disciplines and are a lot more family oriented allowing "In Focus" sections where you will find personal photos or riders with their horses etc etc. A lot more educative sections as well such as health.
