    I don't wear half chaps.I want them just incase though cause I have been pinched a few times but not as much anymore...dont know why. Annnyways,did the saddle fit your horse?If not it might have caused him some discomfort so he wasnt willing to jump cause of it. Just a thought.

    Helmets are a BEAUTIFUL thing.

    You might want to give yourself some time on the flat getting used to the saddle (and letting your horse do the same) before you start back over jumps. Work both ways in all 3 gaits, sitting and posting, 2 point seat, etc. I remember the very few times I rode in an English saddle, I felt so much less secure than I did bareback and I just never gave myself time to get used to it.
