Sorry I haven't been posting here lately, I just started school and have been very busy!
Anyways I had my first lesson in almost two months last Wednesday. I rode Dakota as usual, but there was a new girl in my lesson. She was 10 years old and pretty good. She was supposed to ride this horse Zippo who she had never ridden before. Zippo seems pretty cool-- very responsive! Anyways, it turned out this new girl didn't like the horse, and her mom thought the horse was dangerous and wanted her kid to be on a more behaved horse (Zippo likes to bolt after jumps, but the girl did fine on him).
When I was driving home, my mom said she had been talking to the other girl's mom, and it turned out the other girl had ridden Dakota before and liked him a lot. Soo we called up my instructor and I offered to switch, and ride Zippo so the other girl could have Dakota. My instructor said yes, so now I get to ride Zippo!
I'm really excited to be trying out a new (and possibly more challenging) horse. I'm riding him next Wednesday probably, and I'll get pictures!!
Every ride, good or bad, teaches you something new.
