Talking exercise saddle

so guess what?! I just got in....LITERALLY just got in from riding my horse skylar in an exercise saddle!!!! I will say it was quite a show! You can tell I don't ride english...or racehorse for that matter! Skylar was a lil jumpy since he's new to my house(and I guess the stuff around my house) But he settled down and we were loping and he kinda has a choppy stride every now and then and "then" was one of those times so I just going up and down in the saddle laughing and Skylar probably thinkin, "What's so funny????" It was soo fun

Your probably wondering how I got a saddle...exercise. Well my moms side did racehorses allllll the time and my mom got an exercise saddle...but no cinch and we got one on saturday. So I plan to expose Skylar...all our horses for that matter, exposed to EVERYTHING!

.....I got myself to wonderin...would you consider an exercise saddle english? i mean granted it don't have a horn but you wouldn't do dressage or jumping in it. So is it considered "english?"

(had to throw this in there ROFL)

Jockeys ride in VERY different positions than an English (in general) rider would.

I don't see how it could be considered English at all - aside from how the saddle looks. (Vague similarity.) Seems to be completely different design.

So no, I wouldn't count an exercise saddle as an English saddle.
