I have a really simple question for y'all. What exactly is flat work?

Work without jumps is the easiest explanation I can think of, someone else might have a better way of saying it. Haha

If I understand it correctly, you're right ridergirl. It is work that is done, quite literally, on the "flat". There are no jumps and I think it is generally done in the arena where there is no terrain factors either.

Yep, work without jumps is about it!

More technically "arena" work, as opposed to trail riding or hacking, although you can do arena figures in a field or down the trail, too...
