Thanks. No, I don't use stirrups (haven't for like the past 3 months) because of my knees. You can see my knee braces, I don't just have fat knees haha

Yes, I tried to ride with stirrups a few weeks ago just for flat work, and it KILLED so I'm not going to be doing that again for a while.

I admire you I also like riding without stirrups, but not for all the lessons. I feel more safe without them while cantering, but never jump without them or on trail? Never... I feel more safe with them there. I never know when my horse jumps because of some rabbit or whatever, and I wouldn't stay in saddle long without stirrups. In arena-OK, but in trails NEVER

haha thanks. I don't mind doing no stirrups but I don't really have a choice in the matter. Its either ride with out em or don't ride. I don't do trails at my barn because I've been riding there for 9 years and after a while the same trail gets kinda boring haha.

Have you tried herm sprenger double jointed stirrups? I have really bad knees and posting KILLED me. With those stirrups I never have any pain while riding and its helped my knees when i'm not riding too.

Yes, helped a little but the pain was still insane so I just stick to no stirrups.
