That sounds fun! Lol, i'd totally wear a ninja costume and dress my horse up as one too. "normal" clothes indeed. Bareback events are fun at shows too, unless you happen to be riding an ex- racehorse who thinks he's a stallion to boot (trust me, I know). Have lots of fun, and i'd love to see some pictures. Maybe I can suggest a show like that be held at our barn, so tell me how it goes!
I got two second places and a 6th,
One was in a trotting barrel race and the other was in open pleasure. I was so excited she got second in both there was ALLOT of riders. The one I got 6th in was youth pleasure I think.
If you want to know what kind of classes were there go to this link.
I think the coolest thing they did was a double bareback class.
I didnt enter because neither me or my friends horse has done that before.
Not allot of the pictures came out, only these three.
Allot of people broke out the funky colored saddle pads and polo wraps.
Braided the horses manes like how they usually wouldn't and even had neon nylon bridles. You can see in the blurry photo girls dressed up in all purple and blue. My friends color was orange.
I put a sparkly fly bonnet on Tessa and used schooling tack like my cotton reins and a/p saddle pad. This was her second show so it was for fun and exposure.
Looks awesome! I love the big lights, we only have lights for the indoor so it's not much different from riding in the dark. In the winter it gets dark at 4, so we always ride when it's dark. In the summer it's hard to ride when dark, it's light until 11, lol. The concept is really cool though, and I love all the colors!
