Hackamore in English fun show?

Is it allowed? I'm going to be showing my gelding this fall in a fun show at the equestrian center by my house and was wondering if a hackamore would be okay?
I figure if Beezie Madden can jump Little Big Man in a hackamore, I should be able to do the same..but I wanted to double check first.. And manes have to be braided? Button or running right?

Phone the organisers but I can't see why not depending on the classes and it depends on your horse. Most native english/british breeds don't get plaited up. For example a welsh cob has one plait hanging down the neck to show off the jaw bone, but no other plaits.

Few things - most schooling and local shows still follow USEF rules, meaning if a hack is not allowed in the division you are showing in at a rated show, chances are that you can not show in it at a schooling show. Every discipline/division is different so 1) check the USEF rules for the specific discipline/division you want to do and 2) check with the show stewards/officials in advance.

As an aside, beezie doesn't ride little big man. Little big man is owned and showed by the chapot's with his usual rider laura chapot on board. He's presently semi-retired just due to his age (a good friend of mine works for the chapots and we were literally just chatting about LBM this past week).

What CJ said.

What type of show is it? What types of classes are you doing?

-_- I feel like a total idiot.. I know that. Laura Chapot/Little Big Man is my favorite lol.
I'll check with the show coordinators Thanks everyone.
And it's a fun show. I would be doing halter for sure and I still have to check the classes but an equitation or wtc and then small crossrails.
My gelding is an I don't know. Everyone calls him a paint because of his build but he doesn't have papers so I'm not for certain..The farm he was bred at breeds paints..but I don't have papers. Still trying to get his dam and sire info.. People on his last year coggins bought him from his breeder, their friends so I'm hopeful to get SOMETHING.
