Having problems with new saddle

Ok so I got my new English saddle in and I went to try on him and I could not fir the life of my get the girth tight enough. What was I doing wrong. I have never had problems tightning a girth. That saddle would slide off everytime I went to get on no matter how tight we got it

Did you have the saddle examined on your horses back, by a professional saddle maker/fitter first, before you purchased the saddle?

So that's why because you don't think it fit? I'll do some reaserch and see if I can't get someone out. The more I get advice on here about this new saddle the more I want to throw is away.

I cannot help you out as to why the saddle is not fitting correctly. Only a Professional will beable to you help you out with that. I know little to nothing about proper saddle fit.

You might want to post pictures of the saddle and of the saddle on your horses back, with no pads. There are a few saddle fitters here on the forum.

Nutty Saddler for one, and luvs2ride.

Agreed.
If you can get a pro saddle fitter out, that would be best. Some equine chiropractors also double as saddle fitters, so there is another avenue.
If you can post pictures on this forum of it sitting on his back with no girth or pads, from the side and 3/4 front view, that would be of great help to those of us on here that might be able to help you with fit.
