Yep the problem is all me, and yep I do have the problem all figured out. My QUESTION was regarding a step down bit for once I've got him working a bit more consistently in the pelham. His head carriage is inconsistent at best but I'm not worried about that, I'm worried about his flexing and getting him to get, and stay, off my hands.

He really turned it on for me yesterday, pushing through with his inside hind and he felt amazing... only for a few strides but for those few strides clearly I must have been doing SOMETHING right!
