Question Is he okay to jump?

I need advice from some people experienced with jumping horses.
He is a 13 year old Peruvian/Arabian gelding 14 hh.
I am not looking to compete with him, or even jump him that high. The main thing I am concerned about are his pasterns. Are they too long or sloped?
I just want to do some hobby jumping with him, but is it too risky for him?
    Thanks :)

Has he had any soundness issues ever? If not, I would go for it, small jumps shouldnt be to hard. I've seen horses with huge conformational issues jumping with no problems and they lived into their twnties.
If your really worried, call your vet, im sure he probably wouldnt mind a phoneccall if your really worried.

No he has no soundness issues, I am also going to put on his SMB support boots before I jump too.

I agree with ridergirl, if he's not going to do anything strenuous, then go for it. Even horses with crazy conformational faults can pop over a few low jumps.

Your horse is cute, he looks fine to be jumping. Especially little stuff. Don't worry about it too much. Use bell boots and leg wraps if you wanna be extra careful. :)

Def go for it. Just keep him booted up for protection and introduce the jumps slow/low. Most horses can jump small fences even with glaring conformational faults.
