I believe you can train a horse to trot backwards, it would just be a step further than the passage. It did seem like an edit for this particular video though.

In this video, it is an edit.
Trotting backwards in a GP freestyle would dock you some serious points and/or eliminate you for performing movements of a higher level.

On a similar thread, I'm getting some friends of mine to produce my freestyle next year!! I can't find music I like and they are wicked producers so Rowan is going to have a custom freestyle They usually produce Electro/House/Breaks and I'm excited to get some really cool, high impact sounds in my freestyle!

I loved the hip hop dressage video. Around the time of all the silly dressage parodies involving Mitt Romney's horse pre-Olympics, I shared that video with some of my non-horsey friends and they thought dressage might be a little cooler than it was being made out to be :)

My absolute favorite freestyle ride though, which has definitely been posted on here many times before, is
Watching that video just puts me in a good mood. I can't even begin to dream of what a ride like that would feel like.
