I love hunt paces!
CANTER NE sponsors a hunt pace at the barn I keep my horse twice a year and anyone can trailer in a horse and ride around miles and miles of trails. The awesomest part is that the barn I keep my horse at is an event barn so there are jumps out there from elementary level to Prelim and ditches and water jumps and up and down banks and it's amazing. They'll offer two courses you can choose from: One is competitive, and the ideal time is shorter and all jumps are optional of course but usually everyone does the jumps, and there's a course you can take for leisure, the ideal time is much longer, and the same as the other one, jumps are optional.
Last time I went with my mom and I rode my horse and she took a school pony and we did the leisurely one walk trot canter and I hopped a few logs and when we got back to the barn we were told we could go through a second time and it was a blast. They're great, especially if you want to prepare a horse for eventing.
