Yes. I started riding a year ago after about a 35 year break.

I was a mess and rougher than a cob. Keep at it, it does get better with time in the saddle and good instruction.

Starting riding again at age 28 after a 20 year break. Couldn't post to save my life for the first few weeks.

I was only off for a year due to an injury and was a floppy mess. Don't worry about it, just keep going. You're only being hard on yourself because you know what you're supposed to do, even if your muscles pretend they don't.

I've coming back after a 6 year break and going from hunter to dressage, but only now is my posting feeling a little better after a month of lessons. At first I kept getting the wrong diagonals, my legs felt like they where swinging all over the place and I kept sitting too forward (all those years of doing hunter). Good Luck with your lessons!
