So even my dearest love --- horsemanship and riding --- will be reduced to pixels and streamed into a remote, flat, odorless, no doubt indoor, enclosed rectangle. I'm sure it will be wonderful for some. I myself enjoy YouTube immensely. But I feel video can relay only the most superficial of the realities of horse-human relationships. The difference being watching a flashy Friesian, say; and walking up to the immense head, and stroking the long, strong bony, blowing nose. Judges who have been taught via video won't even know what I'm talking about.
